Delayed Payments to PUBG Content Creators Soon to Be Resolved, Says Krafton

Many content creators of the battle royale game, PUBG (PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds), have been left unpaid for over four months, unable to withdraw their earnings as part of the 'Creator Appreciation Program'. This issue has not gone unnoticed, with publisher Krafton stating they're working to rectify the situation.

PUBG’s 'Creator Appreciation Program' permits players to designate chosen creators to obtain a 5% cut from any personal in-game purchases they make. Typically, creators are paid monthly, but many stopped receiving their regular payments several months ago. As per our source, these creators can view their pending balances but cannot withdrawal the funds. The individual source disclosed their personal inability to access the due payments amounting to several thousand dollars.

Our informant speculates this delay impacts PUBG partners in Europe and North America based on the discontent rumbling within the creator community. The source adds there has been intermittent communication from Krafton and its payment associate, Xsolla, explaining the situation. However, no payments have been made so far.

In a conversation with TechRadar Gaming, Krafton assures an upcoming resolution to the pending payments issue. As indicated in a statement: "Following our awareness of the technical hitch, our team, alongside Xsolla, has been dedicated to resolving it. We wish to confirm the elimination of the error and the scheduled processing of the outstanding payments before the end of February." The company also apologized to the creators and promised implemented changes to prevent such an issue in the future.

In relation to this, a plan was explained to creators on February 6 in a secured Discord server. The plan includes the integration of Xsolla under PHQ's financial system, in charge of processing invoices. The set date for this process to begin is February 15. The gaming audience is eagerly waiting to see when creators will finally gain access to their due payments.
