Temuera Morrison Pushes for a Sequel to The Book of Boba Fett, Pitching New Storylines to Lucasfilm
- 174
The lead actor of The Book of Boba Fett is trying to persuade Lucasfilm for a sequel. The series did not unfold as intended, and since the finale of season one, there has been no news about the show. However, Temuera Morrison, the star of the show, has not lost hope and during an interview, he revealed his ongoing efforts to convince Lucas Film for a second season, despite the slim chances.
At a film convention, when a fan inquired about his experience working with Ming-Na Wen, who portrays Fennec Shand, Morrison responded that they both worked diligently with aspirations for multiple seasons. He mentioned his attempts to guide the direction for subsequent seasons, though acknowledging the need for more influence.
Expressing his gratitude for being cast as a classic Star Wars character, Morrison reflected on his experience and mentioned that with hindsight, he might have made different choices. He shared his experience of working with Jon and being part of the Mandalorian family as phenomenal. Morrison humorously added that he initially tried to pass his lines to Ming-Na Wen, wanting to keep his character mysterious and quiet but had to fill in gaps and provide information about Boba.
Morrison further expressed that if successful in convincing Lucas Film, he envisions the next season focusing on Boba's quest to hunt down Mace Windu. He elaborated on Boba's backstory of being fatherless and carrying certain grudges, suggesting informing Jon Favreau about the potential storyline.
The future of the series remains in the hands of those at Lucas Film, and time will tell if Morrison's efforts bear fruit.
